Eight Federal Credit Union

Coronavirus implementation plan for Eight Federal Credit Union

Eight FCU is taking the current situation with Coronavirus (COVID-19) seriously and has taken all necessary precautions to keep our employees and customers safe. All of our services are still available with the latest technology to facilitate any services. While our lobby may be closed, we are still open for business.

On the security side, as a reminder, Eight Federal Credit Union will never ask you to provide your social security number, account numbers, or passwords by phone, email, or text. If you suspect you have been a victim of fraud or if you receive a suspicious communication claiming to be from Eight Federal Credit Union, let us know at 888staff@eightfederalcu.org.

Communication: We will be operating the branch remotely as much as possible. To contact the credit union, we recommend sending an email (located at the bottom of our website). If you cannot, then you may call the office phone number at 419-666-7334. We will do our best to serve you during this time of displacement. You may leave a message and we will return your call as soon as possible. At this time, we will have limited information/transfer ability on any accounts via phone service. That is where using online/mobile banking will be of importance.

Online/Mobile Banking - You have access to all of your accounts without needing to visit a branch through Eight Federal Credit Union’s app, available from the comfort of your home or anywhere with internet access. Don’t forget there is a forgot password link. If you are having issues logging in, you may email or call and we will help you gain access to your account.

Debit Cards - If you do not already have an activated debit card, Eight Federal Credit Union would recommend ordering one. Please contact the branch for a debit card order form.

Travel Cards – If you do not have a checking account with a debit card, you can ask for a Travel Card. You can deposit money right from your savings to the travel card. You can do this by calling the toll-free number or accessing the card on cumoney.com.

Direct Deposit - If you haven't already signed up for direct deposit with your employer, we would recommend setting it up. Please contact our branch for a direct deposit form. We also have the forms located on our website under the forms tab.

Nightdrop - Available outside the credit union building. You may drop off deposits/loan payments and we will process them to your account within 24 hours.

Loans – We will still be accepting and reviewing loan applications. You may submit them online thru our website or by phone. Once they are reviewed, we will contact you with further information. We have the ability to have all loan documents electronically signed.

Shared Branching - If we should have to temporarily close our branch, there may be some credit unions that will allow shared branching. You would have to contact them for information. Our website has a link to find the closest location.

Dues and/or Health & Welfare – Will be processed without any interruptions

Overall – Eight Federal Credit Union will operate remotely as if our doors were open. We have been diligently updating our operation to accomplish this.

Eight Federal Credit Union is continuing to monitor the situation regarding novel Coronavirus, including potential community impacts and business disruption. We will rely on recommendations from the Ohio Credit Union League and the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA). If we should make the decision to close our doors, it is strictly to protect our member’s and employee’s health. Eight FCU remains as focused as ever on serving your financial needs. Thank you for trusting us with your financial needs.
